What is your community’s greatest asset?Mike Bosch, Baldwin
Baldwin City’s greatest asset is inter-generational collaboration. Several local “power-ups” are hungry and crazy enough to take on big meaningful small town challenges. However, those that are older and wiser have been very supportive of our youthful ambitions.
The challenges are well challenging enough. Having support from our community, even when they don’t totally get our geek world, makes the challenge a community challenge rather than simply a Reflective Group challenge. That’s critically important for our team to have that support when we’re tired and exhausted. We continue to press on because our community is counting on us. Thanks Baldwin City.
One final point, is that we also get state-wide support from our RBC (Rural by Choice) network. Along the same logic, our challenges of figuring out how to bring high tech job creation to small towns across Kansas makes this much bigger than just a Baldwin City issue. So, thank you RBC friends for cheering us on. You have become our cause.

My community’s greatest asset is their positive attitude when it comes to rural life, community, and dealing with any challenges our towns faces.
Sarah Werner, Winfield I would say one of Winfield’s greatest asset is our volunteers. If there is a worthwhile project or event taking place, we NEVER lack for good volunteers! We are very blessed in that regard. |
